Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Morgantown

During warm weather months, we shake the cobwebs of cabin fever off and head out to the great outdoors – and sometimes those great outdoors include a deck at your favorite restaurant! Luckily the restaurants in Morgantown are generously accommodating to our furry friends as well. Here is a list of the dog friendly restaurants in Morgantown. Note, there is a law in Morgantown that does not allow dogs in a building with a food-making kitchen, so these restaurants are dog-friendly as long as Fido stays on the deck:

Mountainstate Brewing Company – dogs are allowed on the back patio and the second level deck. This one in particular is nice, because they continue to allow dogs in the back patio into the cooler months when they put up wooden walls and the wood stove – making this a dog friendly restaurant year round! (if you go in the colder months, call ahead to make sure the back patio is open; on slower nights it may not be.)

Tropics – Dogs are allowed on the back terraces and patios. Now when you want to escape to Hawaii midsummer, you can bring your best furry friend as well!

Table9 – A gorgeous deck to take in the Mon River during a lazy spring night – now your dog can join in the view (perhaps there’s some duck or goose action that will capture his attention!)

Terra Café – after taking a run on the rail trail, we all need our coffee right? Now our active pups can join us in the post-run relaxation on the patio of Terra Café. Indulge in some good food as your dog rehydrates from the water bowl.

Black Bear Evansdale – Out on the patio, you and your furry friend can enjoy the food, atmosphere and local brews!

Crab Shack Caribba at Cheat Lake – They have a deck attached to their main dining room and a very large patio down below, complete with its own tiki-style bar. After a day on the cheat, or even just a day of working, this is a perfect reprieve. Right on Cheat Lake, it’s the perfect place to hang out with your pooch!

Oliverio’s Ristorante – Traditional Italian dishes come in a relaxed, family-friendly dining room with a warm vibe. Outdoor tables welcome dogs.

Panera – At each location, dogs are allowed on the patios, so you can grab a coffee and a book and relax in the sun with your dog at your feet!

Flour and Feed Co. – new to the Morgantown area, Flour and Feed Co.’s patio faces the rail trail and Mon River. You can enjoy their extensive menu and friendly staff with your furry friend and then go for a walk on the trail to burn off some of the delicious calories.

Buffalo Wild Wings (Town Center) – pups are allowed on the patio of the establishment, so you no longer have to weigh watching the game out with friends with watching the game with your diehard, four-legged baseball fan (you know he’s only watching the balls right… ah, if only he could run after them). Now your furry friend can tag along, and you both can enjoy the game and a drink (make his water) in the sun.

This list is by no means exhaustive. I know not every restaurant with a deck allows dogs (examples: Fishbowl Evansdale, Brewpub…), but if you are considering a restaurant with a deck not on this list and are wondering if your four-legged pal could join you, just give the restaurant a call and ask! If they do allow dogs, let us know and we add the restaurant to this list.
